View of the Guadalest reservoir. Turquoise water in the midst of a picturesque mountain landscape. Guadalest is considered one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the mountainous hinterland of the Alicante province in Spain. The idyllic mountain village of Guadalest attracts numerous visitors with its historic castle complex. The fortress called El Castell de Guadalest dates back to Moorish times and is an excellent vantage point.
But the hiking trail that leads around the reservoir also offers wonderful views of the lake. Depending on the weather conditions, its water surface appears in turquoise and blue tones. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and the mountain slopes are also densely forested.
My photographic work is inspired by long hikes on remote mountain trails and places of historical importance. Every time I hike in the idyllic hinterland of the Alicante province, it seems like the clocks are ticking a little slower. As soon as I let my gaze wander into the distance, calm and serenity are omnipresent.
The Guadalest reservoir (Embalse de Guadalest) is located in the middle of a breathtaking mountain landscape. So this photograph is destined to bring some of the charm of this magical place into your home.

Such a breath-taking and magnificent capture of the scenery of this beautiful reservoir Adriana!! fabulous composition and high perspective. the forested shoreline and the mountains really reminds me of where i live in Canada. the glory of nature is incredible in your image. i still believe your landscape photography would be good postcards to sell to tourists. this image made my heart sing in joy!! Thank you very much for your wonderful words on this landscape photo. I am pleased that you like it. The Embalse de Guadalest and the Castle of Guadalest are jewels in the middle of the mountains. It is a place with a long history - a place that has already fascinated people in the past and is also an eye-catcher in the present.
