Description
This watercolor painting is dedicated to the Sierra de Bernia mountain range because it is one of my favorite hiking destinations near the Mediterranean coast in Spain. From the peaks of the surrounding mountains, I really enjoy the wonderful views of the imposing and rugged ridge of the Sierra de Bernia.
When hiking on the Costa Blanca, I am fascinated by the elongated mountains near the coast, which often appear in subtle shades of blue in the distance. The feelings of serenity, calmness and timelessness are omnipresent when I reach the summit and let my gaze wander into the distance. This indigo blue watercolor is inspired by long hikes and the magical blue mountain landscapes of the Alicante province.
