View of the Guadalest reservoir. Turquoise water in the midst of a picturesque mountain landscape. Guadalest is considered one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the mountainous hinterland of the Alicante province in Spain. The idyllic mountain village of Guadalest attracts numerous visitors with its historic castle complex. The fortress called El Castell de Guadalest dates back to Moorish times and is an excellent vantage point.
But the hiking trail that leads around the reservoir also offers wonderful views of the lake. Depending on the weather conditions, its water surface appears in turquoise and blue tones. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest and the mountain slopes are also densely forested.

It is a place with a long history - a place that has already fascinated people in the past and is also an eye-catcher in the present.
