Description
The Peñón de Ifach Natural Park and sandy beach in Calpe.
The rock called Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac) is the symbol of the coastal town of Calpe and a popular travel destination on the northern Costa Blanca. From its peak, which is 332 meters above sea level, there is a fantastic view of the Mediterranean Sea and the coast. But there are also interesting perspectives from afar, with the Peñón de Ifach being the eye-catcher.
Walking along the wide sandy beaches in Calpe, the imposing sight of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is omnipresent. This photograph shows the vertical cliffs on its south face, where there are numerous climbing routes. The beige limestone cliffs are lit by the evening light and reflected in the wet sand. Every time I walk along the Mediterranean coast in Calpe I feel serenity. I often enjoy the relaxing effect of the sound of the sea and the waves there. The views towards the Peñón de Ifach fascinate me again and again.
