Early in the morning, I find the tranquil ambience on the Mediterranean coast in Spain particularly appealing. With this in mind, it's worth getting up early to experience the warm colours at sunrise. On the morning I took this photo, the sun was just rising behind the cape. The sky was clear and the golden sunlight was subtly reflected in the sea water. The coastal scene is framed by a pine tree, which appears as a dark silhouette. The tree is firmly rooted in the ground very close to the cliffs.

When walking along the coast in Benissa, Calpe and Moraira, I like to be inspired by the views of the vast Mediterranean and the sound of the waves. Early in the morning in particular, I go in search of motifs. It's the moment when the first rays of sunshine of the day are visible and the landscape is bathed in enchanting colours. Above the cliffs, I take advantage of the elevated position to look out into the distance and observe the dialogue between the sky and the Mediterranean.
