The rugged ridge of the Peñón de Ifach offers fantastic views towards the blue sea and the mountains near the coast. It is a wonderful place to get a bird's eye view of the Costa Blanca. For this reason, the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is one of my favorite destinations on the Mediterranean coast. At the summit, which is 332 meters above sea level, the clocks seem to tick a little more slowly. I particularly like watching the seagulls resting on the limestone cliffs.
The Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is an excellent vantage point. It has fascinated people for a very long time. This is evidenced by archaeological finds at the foot of the mountain. Due to its exposed location, locals used the mountain as an observation post in the past. Thus, the Peñón de Ifach was an important part of a defense system to protect the Valencian coast from pirates.
Today it is a popular destination for hikers and climbers. The elevated vantage points allow for a bird's eye view of the Costa Blanca and the sea. Weathered rock formations bear the marks of time and at the same time stand for the timeless beauty of nature. Mediterranean blue meets the light beige of the limestone cliffs. I like hiking on the Peñón de Ifach to enjoy the relaxing ambience and the views of the wide landscape. On a sunny day on the Mediterranean coast.
This landscape photograph is destined to bring some of the charm of the seaside town of Calpe and its landmark, the Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac), into your home. The seagull watching the sea represents the freedom and serenity I feel when hiking the Costa Blanca.
