The Peñón de Ifach Natural Park in Calpe is the habitat of numerous seagulls and rare plants. It is the smallest nature reserve on the Spanish mainland - and a wonderful destination for hiking and climbing. The seagull in this photo wasn't shy at all and it seemed to me that it was posing proudly in front of my camera.
The rugged ridge of the Peñón de Ifach offers fantastic views towards the blue sea and coastline. It is a wonderful place to get a bird's eye view of the Costa Blanca. For this reason, the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park is one of my favorite destinations on the Mediterranean coast. The mountain called Cumbre del Sol rises in the background and the promontory called Cap d'Or juts out into the sea.
My photographic work is inspired by long hikes in the southeast of Spain, where I let myself be enchanted by Mediterranean mountain landscapes. Every time I take a break in the Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac) Natural Park and let my gaze wander into the distance, the clocks seem to tick more slowly. I especially like watching the birds resting on the rocks.
This landscape photograph is meant to bring some of the charm of the Costa Blanca and the seagulls of the Mediterranean coast into your home.
