Rock formation in the Sierra de Bernia. The rock has a special coloring made up of shades of grey, beige and apricot. The abstract effect of this steep rock face inspired me to take this photo. Shapes of the rocks, which have been formed over thousands of years, bear the marks of time and at the same time stand for the timeless beauty of nature.
Hiking in the Sierra de Bernia offers wonderful views of the wide mountainous landscape that is located near the Mediterranean coast. But the rock shapes are also an eye-catcher. This photograph was taken on the hiking trail that runs around the rugged mountain ridge with its imposing cliffs.
My work is inspired by long hikes on remote mountain trails in the Alicante province in Spain. When I explore hiking trails and discover rocks shaped by nature, the clocks seem to tick slower. For me, thinking about how long these mountains have existed, expands the meaning of time. This mountain landscape is destined to bring some of the magic of the mountains and the timeless beauty of nature into your four walls.
