Artist's Description
On a remote path that leads over the mountain ridge of the Sierra del Carrascal de Parcent. Hard limestone rocks meet the green of the bushes and soft clouds. Away from the touristy coastal region, you can enjoy the best views high up in the mountains.
This photograph is dedicated to the peace and seclusion that makes hiking in the mountainous hinterland of the Alicante province a very special nature experience. Rock formations that bear the marks of time and at the same time stand for the timeless beauty of nature.
My work is inspired by long hikes in the southeast of Spain, where I'm enchanted by Mediterranean landscapes and rough limestone cliffs. The characteristic shapes of the limestone, which have been formed by weathering, are called lapiaz.
