Artist's Description
Relaxing ambience in the shade of an olive tree. Sunbeams shine from behind the tree trunk. I was fascinated by the shapes of the strong root of this old tree. It seems like there is a cave underneath the root. In my eyes, tree roots stand for the timeless beauty of nature, as well as for strength and durability. They create a connection between the visible world and the dark world that is hidden in the earth.
Especially on hot and sunny days, I find resting in the shade of the trees to be very pleasant. I am fascinated by the graceful appearance of old trees - with their elegant branches and strong roots. Maybe it's because trees grow in a certain place over a long period of time while the world around them is constantly changing. They can give people fruit, shade and tranquility.
My photographic work is inspired by long hikes on remote mountain trails and in the agricultural hinterland of the Alicante province. In the midst of nature, I love being enchanted by tradition...
