Golden cloudscape. Wings of air and light. This work is inspired by the scenic clouds at sunset on the Mediterranean coast in Spain.
Air meets sunlight and symmetry. When the sun touches the horizon and the clouds are illuminated by warm sunlight, the sky transforms into a fantastic dreamscape. The abstract interplay of shapes and colors can be very versatile and unpredictable.
This abstract reflection is dedicated to an enchanting moment that is part of constant change and movement. When photographing the evening sky, I like to imagine floating in a sea of clouds. In my opinion, the winter sunsets on the Costa Blanca in Spain that announce a storm or a change in the weather can be particularly impressive with their magical colors and atmospheric cloudscapes.
The shape of these clouds resembles wings. The idea that there might be guardian angels looking down on us from heaven and protecting us influenced me in the design of this symmetrical work. I am also inspired by the concept that the memory of loveable companions who are no longer in this world can be reflected in the celestial form of clouds. Scenic clouds that can create a connection between the worlds.
