Description
Scenic clouds over the sea - light blue sky and tranquil ambience on the Mediterranean coast in Spain. View of the rocks and trees by the sea. On the horizon you can guess the warm sunlight. I painted this Mediterranean coastal landscape using the wet-on-wet watercolor technique. It is part of a series depicting various cloudscapes.
The colors of the sky and the vast landscapes near the Mediterranean coast inspire me a lot. In my opinion, watercolor techniques are a wonderful way to reflect these impressions. My memories of long hikes along the coast and in the mountains have flowed into this work.
Looking towards the steep cliffs and the wide sea ... walking barefoot in the fine sand ... feeling the salty note in the air ... listening to the sound of the sea ... climbing up remote paths near the coast.

I am very drawn to this sensual and beautiful series that portray fabulous cloudscape and seascape Adriana!! they all look very calming and relaxing for the mind, so easy to love. i enjoy the colours and visuals in this art very much. i am curious to know if this scenery are imaginary or is it from photo reference. regardless, they all give me a sense of escape from the reality!! Thank you very much for expressing your thoughts on this watercolor (and the series) in such beautiful words, Kevin! The series is inspired by a special viewpoint on the Mediterranean coast that I particularly like and where I spent a good time. The watercolors were created freely from my memories.
