Description
Blue sky and evening atmosphere at Peñón de Ifach in Calpe. The steep rock faces of the south wall are illuminated by the warm sunlight. They appear in vibrant shades of brown and orange. The rugged cliffs are the habitat of numerous sea gulls, which are omnipresent on the Costa Blanca. Just before sunset, I like to walk at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach Natural Park to look at the imposing rock formations and the birds. I am especially fascinated by the natural shapes, bright colours and abstract effects of the rock. The limestone rocks bear the marks of time and, in my opinion, represent the beauty in nature.
This photo is dedicated to the tranquil ambience of the coast and the cliffs illuminated by the sun. It is meant to bring the charm of the Mediterranean coast in Spain and the impressive cliffs of the Peñón de Ifach into your home.
The striking mountain called Peñón de Ifach (Penyal d'Ifac) is the landmark of the coastal town of Calpe. The nature reserve is an excellent vantage point on the Mediterranean coast. Archaeological findings prove that the sight of the Peñón de Ifach has been very attractive to people for many eras. Until today, this has not changed.
