Description
Cala de la Granadella - cliffs, boats and turquoise waters on the Mediterranean coast in Spain. The cove called Cala de la Granadella is considered one of the most beautiful and well-known coves in the north of the Costa Blanca. It is located near Jávea (Xàbia) and is characterized by its crystal clear waters. In the Mediterranean sunlight, the sea water appears in shades of turquoise, blue and blue-green. During a hike along the cliffs, the views of the cove and the wide Mediterranean Sea are fantastic.
That day I had a great opportunity to watch some motor boats gliding smoothly across the surface of the water. The combination of the coastal landscape, the wonderful colors of the sea water and boats in action inspired me to dedicate a photo series to Cala de la Granadella.
On the hiking route, which leads through the Granadella Natural Park, both the Cala de la Granadella and the ruins of the historic fortress called Castillo de la Granadella are the highlights. They are ideal places to soak up the relaxing ambiance by the sea and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
When I hike near the coast and look towards the wide sea, the clocks seem to tick a little more slowly. This photograph is destined to bring some of the magic of the Costa Blanca into your home. A sunny day on the Mediterranean.
