View from the Castellet de Calp towards the rugged rock formations of the Mascarat Canyon and the coastal town of Benidorm. The Puig Campana mountain rises majestically in the distance.
In the past, the Castellet de Calp viewpoint was used as an observation post, as this place offers excellent views of the Mediterranean Sea. It was part of the historical surveillance system on the Valencian coast.
The imposing Mascarat Canyon was created by Mother Nature over thousands of years through the power of water and erosion. It is located between Calpe and Altea on the Mediterranean coast. This photo shows a foothill of the Sierra de Bernia mountain range. The coastline is characterized by the fascinating forms of the cliffs.
Rocks bear the marks of time and stand for the timeless beauty of nature. So this photograph is dedicated to a special place on the Costa Blanca that has fascinated and attracted people for a long time. Especially from this elevated viewpoint, the vertical cliffs near the Mascarat Canyon and the coastal landscape look very enchanting.
My photographic work is inspired by long hikes on remote mountain trails in the Alicante province in Spain. Every time I hike near the Mediterranean coast and let my gaze wander into the distance, the clocks seem to tick more slowly. The local hiking routes offer wonderful views of the wide Mediterranean Sea, the coastline and the imposing cliffs.
